Transitional Housing
The Transitional "Supportive" Housing Program is designed to help women and men who are on probation, parole, recovering from substance abuse and/or mental health issues, or women and men who have recently faced a crisis that left them homeless. A Place of Comfort, Inc. helps these individuals get back on their feet by providing housing, counseling, career coaching, life-skills training, and referral services. Rent on the homes and length of stay are determined between the client and counselor.

| Family Environment
Staffed and managed 24-hours a day, A Place of Comfort, Inc. provides a foundation for residents to build a solid, support group for themselves. Our nurturing atmosphere can offer those who may have transgressed with the law, been challenged through substance abuse addiction, and/or mental illness the opportunity to change the directions of their lives. We will also help them in accepting and dealing with the consequences of their behaviors.
At A.P.O.C. we believe in providing periods for conversation, listening, socializing, and sharing at our weekly in-home supportive meetings. We believe that guests who receive, dignity, and comfort in a caring environment of serenity have a better chance of succeeding and achieving future goals.
